Introduction
Welcome to kaajLagbe ("we," "our," or "us"). We operate the kaajLagbe mobile application available on the Google Play Store and the web platform at https://kaajlagbe.com. kaajLagbe is Bangladesh's leading local service marketplace connecting homeowners ("Clients") with verified skilled service professionals ("Tradies"), including electricians, plumbers, carpenters, masonry workers, cleaners, and AC technicians.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application or web platform. Please read this privacy policy carefully.
Information We Collect
We collect several types of information from and about users of our application:
Personal Identification Information
- Account Data: Name, mobile phone number, email address, and profile picture.
- Tradie Verification Data: National ID (NID), Trade License number, skills, experience, and service categories for verification purposes.
Precise & Approximate Location Data (Google Play Requirement)
Our application accesses Precise Location (GPS) and Approximate Location data:
- Client Job Location: When clients post a job request or select an address on our map picker.
- Tradie Availability Matching: Location coordinates are processed to query tradies working within a 10km sphere radius (`$centerSphere` MongoDB geo-queries) to send instant job alerts.
- Location data is collected while using the app or when background job alert processing is active. You can manage or disable location permissions at any time via your device settings.
Push Notification Tokens & Device Identifiers
We collect unique device push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging - FCM V1 tokens) to send real-time alerts when a new quote is received, a job status changes, or a chat message arrives.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:
- Matching Services: To display nearby job postings to qualified tradies based on proximity (10km default radius).
- Communication: Enabling chat and quote negotiations between clients and service providers.
- Verification & Security: Verifying Bangladeshi tradie identities to ensure safety and prevent fraud.
- Push Notifications: Delivering instant transaction and job updates via FCM V1 services.
- Customer Support: Resolving service complaints, disputes, and technical support requests.
Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party advertisers. We only share necessary data with trusted service providers strictly required to operate the application:
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC): Used to deliver encrypted push notifications to your Android device.
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim / Mapbox: Used to reverse-geocode addresses from GPS coordinates for map picking.
• Assigned Tradie/Client: Basic contact info (name, phone number, job address) is shared between client and assigned tradie upon job acceptance.
5. Account Deletion & Data Retention
In accordance with Google Play Store Developer Policies, users have full control over their account and personal data.
How to request complete account deletion:
- Go to Profile / Settings in the kaajLagbe Android App and tap "Delete Account".
- Alternatively, send an email to privacy@kaajlagbe.com with your registered phone number/email.
Upon receiving an account deletion request, your profile, active job posts, saved locations, and notification tokens will be permanently deleted from our primary databases within 7 days.
Mobile App Permissions Requested
Enables precise GPS placement for job location selection on maps.
Delivers instant job alerts, chat messages, and quote updates.
Allows users to upload photos of damaged items for repair quotes.
Required for communicating with kaajLagbe cloud API endpoints.
Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete it from our servers.
